Who is Dragados-Pulice Joint Venture?

Dragados-Pulice Joint Venture (DPJV) is an integrated joint venture between Dragados USA and Pulice Construction. Under TxDOT’s guidance, DPJV will be responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of the I-2/I-69C Interchange Project.

Where are the project limits?

The project limits run along I-2 from just west of 2nd Street in McAllen to just east of FM 2557 in San Juan and along I-69C from Nolana Loop to I-2 in Pharr.

What improvements will be made?

The 7.8 mile project improvements include:

  • Full reconstruction of the I-2/I-69C Interchange to include two-lane direct connectors in all four directions
  • Reconstruction and/or widening of the I-2 general purpose lanes from six to eight lanes (four in each direction)
  • Operational improvements including the reconfiguration of main lane ramps on I-2 from 2nd Street to FM 2557 (Stewart Road) and improvements to the approaches and departures to and from the direct connectors

What is the project cost?

The design and construction improvements are valued at approximately $303 million.

What is a “design-build” project?

Design-build is a construction method is which an entity, the design-build team, provide design and construction services under one contract.

How do I find out about construction activity and lane closures?

As each phase of the project progresses, DPJV will provide construction updates every step of the way and post the construction activity and lane closure updates on this website. For traveler information the public can sign up for updates here to join our mailing list. Our DPJV social media accounts are also regularly updated. If I own a business in the project corridor, how can I stay informed?

DPJV has created a mailing list for businesses within the project corridor. Businesses who wish to be sent the latest project updates and construction activities electronically can e-mail us directly at DPJV_Inquiry@Dragados-USA.com and request to be added to the electronic mailing list.

How do I do business with the project?

Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) are imperative in Federally funded design-build projects. We ask all interested firms to give us a call at (956) 803-3563. For more information click the DBE Opportunities tab on this site.

DPJV solicits suppliers and subcontractors on a regular basis and provides contracting opportunities that match the work scopes being performed on the project.
