The official groundbreaking ceremony for the I-2 / I-69C Interchange Project was held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

State and local elected officials, TxDOT representatives and Dragados-Pulice Joint Venture participated in the celebration of the approximately $303 million infrastructure project.

The event had previously been delayed due to COVID-19.
